1.) If you could replace any lampshade in your home, which one would you choose and why?

2.) What colors are in the room with the lamp?

3.) What is your favorite thing about that room?

The giveaway starts today, Oct 3rd at 4:00 p.m. e.s.t. and the winner will be announced Tuesday, Oct 7th at 4:00 p.m. e.s.t (your entry must be between those hours) -- The winner will be selected randomly using Class Tools --

I'm glad I found your page from your sister-in-law. Good luck with your new blog!

Here's my "giveaway" answers~

1.) If you could replace any lampshade in your home, which one would you choose and why?

My living room- it has a simple, drab green shade that does nothing other than cover a bulb.

2.) What colors are in the room with the lamp?

Greens and blues- Olive, non-blinding limeish & the kind of blue that is on things with the name "Belize". Original dark gum wood. A yellow & green stain glass window. ((plus a large, beautiful, primary colored, abstract painting that doesn't really "go" but I love it.))

3.) What is your favorite thing about that room?

My bay window and stain glass- lots of light let in.

I found your blog through your sister-in-law, too, although I'm not sure how I found hers. Hmmm.

Anyway, to answer your questions:
1. I would replace the lampshade in our great room. My parents had that lamp when I was a child, and I bought a new shade for it when I inherited it after college, about ten years ago. Honestly, I need a new lamp!
2. The colors in our great room are mostly neutral browns.
3. My favorite thing about the room is that we spend most of our time in there.

I'm not sure how I ran into your blog, but I'm a fellow Floridian if that counts for anything.

1.) If you could replace any lampshade in your home, which one would you choose and why?

The one on our night stand. we love the lamp but the lamp shade is hideous!

2.) What colors are in the room with the lamp?

A lot of white! There is also some black and green.

3.) What is your favorite thing about that room?

It's out bedroom with a huge window that looks out onto the lake. The view is definitely the best part.

I love your lampshades- such a neglected part of any room!
1) My living room because I have been looking for the perfect lamp shade and have yet to find one. Most are too simple for my tastes.
2) Natural, dark woods, reds, greens, blues, look at an antique map and voila- our colors
3) It is the first room you see in our house. We spend lots of time there- watching tv, reading, crafting, etc. It houses all kinds of neat nautical antiques as my husband is in the navy!
Best wishes with your new blog!

Hi Tory! I love the site!

Here are my answers:

1. My living room lampshade because it's just, plain cream colored.

2. The lamp base is a light brown color and the rest of the room has lots of neutrals and browns. I'd like to bring out the reds and greens from the paintings.

3. I guess my favorite thing about the room is the book shelf.

Hey Tori! I'm getting in under the wire here!!
1- My family room - right now it's beige, which works - but I like to change up my home's accents with the seasons.
2 - Beige (sand), light blue and green, medium wood colors as well.
3 - 6 windows - I have what I like to call "light issues" so I love how sunny this room is!
